In a day and age where land in the heart of the city is becoming scarce and prices are soaring, traditional investments may no longer be the answer. The concept of Re-Development (ReDev), or developing projects from existing buildings, is being watched as a new business model that can revitalize the city and create enormous added value.
ReDev does not just mean "renovating for beauty", but is also the science of urban development that covers laws, city planning, selecting the right location, design that meets the needs, and even creating a new brand and identity in an old area.
"When the old district becomes the new district"
The picture is clear: areas like Talat Noi - Charoenkrung, Yaowarat and Ari, once overlooked, are now filled with chic cafes, boutique hotels, mixed-use projects and new housing developments. "ReDev Course: Creating a New Generation of Real Estate Developers"
To make this concept a reality, a ReDev course has been launched by The NEXT Real in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University. It is designed to train both developers and new landowners, covering everything from
This course clearly reflects that ReDev is not just a business opportunity, but also an important tool in creating developers who see the value and future of the city.
"Adapt to Change"
ReDevelopment is therefore not just a strategy to solve the problem of land shortages, but an "adjustment" of the mindset and perspectives of real estate developers and new-age land owners. When we adapt... the city changes, and new opportunities are ready to arise.
